PRIMARY DETAIL- From $142,838 to $150,860 gross per annum (HEW Level 9), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading- Full-time, continuing role.
Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.

Hybrid working arrangement.The RoleEmployee Relations is a specialist team within HR responsible for providing support and advice on the implementation of the University's employment and industrial frameworks.Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, the Senior Employee Relations Consultant will work with a team of specialists and partner with a diverse range of stakeholders on the provision of advice and support in managing complex and sensitive employment matters.
Your day-to-day activities will include:Leading case management of complex and sensitive employment matters ensuring equity in the process and alignment with the Enterprise AgreementProviding change management advice including advising and assisting in the management of staff consultation and redundancy processesCo-ordinating and facilitating dispute resolution processes, liaising with Union representatives and, as required, representing the organisation as an advocate in tribunalsCoaching managers and HR partners to address and resolve sensitive and/or complex employee relations matters Researching, analysing and identifying options for addressing and resolving complex employee relations mattersResearching and developing advice and options to inform the organisation's industrial strategyAbout YouYou are a qualified and experienced employee relations specialist with strong consulting, coaching and communication skills, and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You're a trusted advisor, a strategic thinker, and a calm presence in complex situations.
You will have excellent analytical skills with the ability to engage and influence colleagues, clients and stakeholders at all levels.
You will have working knowledge of the Australian legal and industrial framework at both state and federal levels.
You will demonstrate experience and ability in providing expert advice with respect to legislative, EA and policy requirements, managing complex and sensitive matters within a large and matrixed organisation.You are highly organised and have a methodical approach to your work.Your experience in a similar role within the higher education sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.About UsMacquarie is a university engaged with the real and often complex problems and opportunities that define our lives.
