**Property Officer**

**Location - Parramatta 4PSQ**

**Employment type - Temporary up until June 2026**

**Salary - Clerk Grade 7/8, $110,266 to $122,058**

**Your role**

The Property Officer role is responsible for delivering the sales and acquisition projects whilst supporting the Principal Property Officer on more complex acquisition, sales and property programs. The role establishes clear communication and consultation paths with the wider organisation providing professional property and valuation advice to support the business decision making along with managing some commercial leasing properties.

**What you'll do**

As part of the Capital Transaction Team, you will be responsible for the acquisition process where you would co-ordinate and work with Homes NSW and Housing Portfolio partners to ensure timely and seamless transition from property settlement to upgrade works and handover. You will also be required to complete program reporting including preparing and reporting on the overall acquisition program and various milestones for end-to-end status reporting.

You will co-ordinate and work with Housing Portfolio and Housing Services to ensure timely and seamless inspections and handover following acquisition and upgrade including systems updates, handover kits, keys & other documents for the property. You will assist in property searches, investigation, and purchase of acquisition properties.

**What we're looking for**
- Work as part of the team to provide quality, cost effective and timely property acquisitions and sales internally and through contracted suppliers to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of projects to meet client briefs, timelines and expectations.
- Implement the project, engage with Principal Property Officers, relevant stakeholders and Development Managers to adequately consult and meet targets and expectations. Manage coordinate and resource projects for successful delivery.
- Work in a team of ongoing and contract staff, providers and suppliers to foster a culture of teamwork and cooperation that is focused on outcomes and solutions.
- Assist the Principal Property Officer by providing input to the review, evaluation, advice and recommendations in context of; property valuations, external provider property purchases, sale or lease of properties and complex property advice.
- Participate, provide input and document acquisition and sales progress reports, project status and perform risk management analyses on performance for early issue identification/rectification and for the purpose of lessons learned and knowledge sharing across teams and individuals.
- Collaborate with Principal Project Officers to embed risk profiling and management into organisational strategies and policies and analyse the impact of developments within the regulatory framework on work for any required enhancements to own process, policies, practices or structure.
