Colour Pack Process Operator

**About the role**

As a Colour pack Process Operator, you will be responsible for mixing ingredients to make paint, you'll be required to handle a variety of chemicals and dangerous goods using the appropriate PPE. Job Sheets downloaded from our Chemical Management System software contain 'the recipes' and from there you will be required to operate measuring equipment (scales), manual handling equipment (from Forklift trucks, drum lifters, vacuum bags), pumps mixing equipment such as Impeller mixers, Homogeniser Mixer (FDD), High Speed Impeller Mills (Onslow, Sardik), Horizontal Bead Mills (Newby, Dynomill) and filtration equipment competently and safely to produce the paint.

The role is based at our Wakerley, East Brisbane site, it's a full-time permanent role, Mon-Thurs 6 am to 4.30pm (10-hour shift with a 30-minute break).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain a well-organized and clearly identifiable raw material store, ensuring all raw materials are labeled with an HMIS label
- Receive raw materials, unload, and store correctly
- Perform all tasks detailed on the Mixing Room Checklist. (Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning activities on Ink and Paint mixing equipment as directed.)
- Ensure work area is kept clean and well-ventilated
- Follow work and job sheet instructions accurately to ensure that the required standard product quality is achieved
- Record all batch numbers of raw material used
- Record any in-process test results and alterations to formulation on job sheet
- Filter all batches prior to being released to filling rooms
- Upon completion of batch manufacture, supply a representative sample to the Laboratory for verification testing

**About you**
- Most importantly you will have a positive attitude, the ability to learn, and a good work ethic and from there we can train you, put you through the Cert III in Process Operations and Forklift license
- Must have the ability to lift between 15-25 kg
- Previous experience as a process operator would be advantageous
- Cert III in Process Operations would be desirable
- A Forklift License would be advantageous
