Opal is a major supplier of high-volume custom printed folding cartons to brands across New Zealand and Australia, collaborating with our customers to develop unique, innovative folding carton packaging. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest packaging companies in New Zealand as our Manukau site is looking for a Demand and Supply Analyst to come onboard

The Demand and Supply Analyst is responsible for the preparation and facilitation of data analysis for the short term and long-term Demand Planning forecasting process, Supply Planning of Finished Goods and preparing site capacity plans.

Some of the other key areas of this role would include:

- Prepare the data analytics for the monthly Demand Planning process, ensuring the sales demand numbers are fully supported by documented assumptions, risks and opportunities
- Monitor consumption of the signed off demand plan and collaborate with the sales team to determine the root cause of any variances
- Review SLOB and facilitate reporting for Sales to action to minimise Impacts
- Use the production plan to update raw material procurement data and prepare Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) reports, collaborating with the Supply and Demand Manager, operations, and sales to ensure accurate projections

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

- 4+ years in supply chain and demand planning experience in a large FMCG organisation with a large number of SKU's
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (experience in tools/ functions such as: power queries, v and x lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience in utilizing data analysis tools such as Power BI, would be highly regarded
- Experience in building and maintaining internal and external relationships with stakeholders, to identify and forecast industry trends
- Confidence in ability to identify and explain trends using data analysis
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and listening (the ability to clearly explain and communicate complex data and trends)
- Strong analytical and technical skills with an ability to work with complex data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and a data-driven mindset
- Confidence in dealing with different personalities an open to different viewpoints
