About the role
**Role location**: Australia East Coast
**Role type**: 24-months Fixed Term contract or secondment
Full time
ANZ have just kicked off a project to 're-imagine' our very tired global intranet experience - we even asked, "do we still need an intranet?" (Yes, we do).
The new intranet will set the tone for a new and improved digital employee experience that: reflects our culture, brings together islands of information, and provides employees with what they need to complete the task at hand. Importantly, as most of our people work remotely ~50% of the time better connects them to the organisation.
So, we're looking for an experienced, proactive individual to join the team to be the Employee Communications Channels Product Owner for ANZ's intranet experience, along with the other employee collaboration and analytics platforms in our teams' portfolio.
Responsible for advocating, implementing and ensuring best practice use of employee facing communication, collaboration and analytics tools. Strong advocates for the holistic employee experience, the team is passionate about the value data-driven insights and collaboration brings to our organisation.
The role will sit within the Channels and Insights team within Strategic (employee) Communications, which is part of ANZ's Communications & Public Affairs function.
If you're super smart, with a strong understanding and passion for all things user experience, digital, technology, and change delivery, with a background in intranets and other communication and collaboration tools - we want to talk to you
So, what's the gig?
Reporting to the Senior Manager Channels and Insights, you'll be a trusted advisor that can demonstrate the 'art of the possible' - performing a role that draws on collaboration, consultancy, data, research, product knowledge and industry / trends awareness, rather than deep technical or coding expertise.
Having implemented the new global intranet, you will be responsible for its day-to-day management and governance, alongside the other communication, collaboration and analytics tools within the portfolio.
You'll work closely with the rest of the team; providing insights to help the Adoption Lead produce creative ways to upskill, train and engage users, and introducing platform enhancements that will help the Content Strategist ensure the intranet's content is engaging, well managed and keeps pace with best practices.
Building a strong understanding of our business will be important, allowing you to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity, and optimise user experience.
You'll build strong relationships with our platform vendors and ANZ's Technology teams, monitoring the health of the underlying technology, acting as the key point of contact for issues management. Establishing relationships with peer platform owners across ANZ will also be important in uplifting our enterprise digital maturity through an integrated and connected digital employee ecosystem.
We encourage people to take a test and learn approach, constructively challenging the status quo and encouraging others to do things differently; creative thinking and being connected to best practice industry insights and trends will be important so that we can stay ahead of the curve, deliver a connected employee-first approach to our digital employee experience eco-system and set up, and implement good governance.
And most importantly, you're not just good at what you do. You're really nice too
Enough about us. Now what about you?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience - You'll bring 7+ years' experience implementing and/or managing websites, content management systems, intranets or other communication and collaboration software; and a strong understanding of business transformation, digital, technology and change delivery.
Outcomes focused and decisive - You'll draw on strong problem solving and analysis skills, with the ability to translate analysis outcomes into tangible solutions; energised by tackling complex problems and use critical thinking, your network, skills, knowledge, and available data to drive better outcomes.
Advocate for the employee - You have a solid understanding of UX principles and demonstrated experience in user research and other UX activities. Taking a culture-first approach, you'll advocate for a connected digital employee experience; someone with a thirst to give people what they want, even if they don't know what that is
A 'roll your sleeves-up' team player - You know we only win if we all win. You recognise and value the different perspectives and skills your colleagues bring. Willing to 'roll up your sleeves' and jumping in to get the job done.
Driven by data - You draw on your research experience and platform data and interpretation to make strategic decisions. Passionate about data, you help others become more dat
