**Your day to day**
As Executive Assistant Manager, you will lead the day to day operations of the hotel and are responsible for the effective running of Rooms Division to ensure the achievement of established InterContinental quality, guest and colleague standards along with departmental revenue and profit goals. This is a critical position requiring proven capability in creating a positive and productive work environment. Your strength will be your ability to build, motivate and lead an effective team that delivers results and is highly engaged. In addition, you will provide a high level of support to Food & Beverage and Kitchen operations to make sure everything is working well and all our guests and colleagues are safe and comfortable.

You will be experienced in guest service as well as being commercially savvy. You'll have the ability to lead an optimised mix of strong Guest Love HeartBeat and financial delivery through effective manning, driving superior results with an engaged team. This role also involves operational budget creation, and you will drive the team to strategically deliver on Winning Metrics as well as revenue and profit targets against budget. This is a critical position within our team, requiring proven capability in mentoring ,creating a positive, productive and compliant work environment, especially under challenging or high pressure circumstances. Importantly, this role will act as 2IC to the General Manager and will act as the hotel leader across all functions in the absence of the General Manager.

**What we need from you**
- Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management and/or Business Administration highly regarded
- Minimum four years of guest service experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
- Ability to work across and meaningfully contribute to all operational departments
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Passionate about delivering results and developing people and self
- Solid commercial and financial skills, understanding of revenue driving and budget creation -Excellent skills in POS or hotel PMS systems will be key and experience with Infrasys or Opera would be an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and be familiar with fire emergency procedures, evacuation procedures, and demonstrate awareness of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Certifications - First Aid Certification and Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Unrestricted working rights for Australia and flexibility - early, late, weekend, night and holiday shifts are all part of the job
