**About the role**
As a People & Culture Operations Specialist, your primary focus will be to support the wider People & Culture team in all aspects of operational activity across the employee lifecycle. It will be a blend of the 'creating' and the 'doing', and a driver for creating process efficiencies as well as taking an active role in those processes as they are operationalised.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Being a P&C policy/process SME and providing first level support for employee queries and general issues.
- Acting as a channel between the P&C Business Partnering team and the Systems Owner on process improvement initiatives by proactively examining and identifying areas of inefficiency and improvements
- Managing training and develop training materials/guidelines for new starters, people leaders and the wider P&C team.
- Supporting the P&C Business Partners with employee interactions, such as parental leave briefing (outbound/inbound), exit interviews, etc.
- Collaborating with the Systems Owner to identify and create reporting solutions to enable a higher level of self-service analysis around various people related issues.
- Documenting and communicating improved policies/processes including process flows/mapping and guides which clearly define roles and responsibilities.

This role will require you to be in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday with the wider P&C team. There may be a requirement for out of hours support calls due to time zones (mostly within AEST).

You'll bring to this role:

- Previous experience in a same/similar People & Culture role.
- Skilled in writing policies, documenting processes, and providing training, will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of HRIS system core modules and key HR teams/processes, such as Recruitment, Onboarding, Payroll, Learning & Development Performance, and Remuneration.
- Proven experience providing policy and best practice (leave/flexible work, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, etc) advice to an array of audiences.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to develop and implement process solutions and influence change.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
