**Role**
As a Student Information Officer, you will deliver a world-class customer service experience. You will be the face of the University of Adelaide College and the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors. As a member of the Student Services team, you will assist students with both academic and non-academic needs. Your caring and nurturing nature and professionalism will make a significant contribution to the College community and the success of all stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
- Be the first tier of support for all student and staff inquiries at the college
- Maintain professional presentation of the service desk area and student common rooms
- Be the first point of contact for staff and student IT issues, and direct to relevant areas for further technical assistance
- Ensure that the service desk is attended at all times
- Assist students to schedule appointments with Student Service team members for inquiries
- Coordinate student letter and transcript requests
- Provide accurate and timely communication of information to students and external stakeholders
- Provide support in organising and delivering college events (inc. Orientations, Exams, Graduations)
- Ensure student feedback is obtained in order to maintain the highest levels of student satisfaction
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including WHS legislation requirements
- Ensure as far as is practicable that the workplace, under your control, is safe and without risks to health
**Requirements**:
- Problem solving and listening skills
- Ability to develop good relationships with and work effectively with stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- IT literate (word, excel, outlook)
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Direct knowledge or experience of the international education sector (desirable)
- Up-to-date working knowledge of key legislation, policies and procedures relevant to international students (desirable)
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one
