About the Role
This position will report through to the Associate Manager, Quality Assurance.

The role and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
Routine microbiological testing of food product samples
Environmental testing and investigations
Maintain external & internal testing database
Media preparation and quality control
Maintain lab and its procedures according to company requirements

About You
We are looking for someone who posesses at least one to two years' experience in the food industry with a qualification in Microbiology.

You must have proven laboratory experience in a food environment to be considered for this role.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
Have a good understanding & knowledge of microbiological aseptic techniques (Gram staining, aseptic sampling, dilutions, plating and environmental swab collection etc)
Understanding and implement laboratory quality assurance procedures
Have a high level of analytical and reporting skills
Record keeping experience in data base maintenance
A great attention to detail
