
Improvement Project Lead, Evidence And Improvement

THE ROLE
The Improvement Project Lead has a leadership role in a team that drives system improvements and learning across the department and the community services that the department funds, delivers and regulates, to support better integration of services and improve the experience of service users. You will use your advanced knowledge of improvement science and stakeholder engagement skills to support the department and community service providers to embed improvement science to improve outcomes for clients.
Reporting to the Manager, Evidence and Improvement, you will be part of a team supporting strategic analysis of quality and safety information across the community services system and the implementation of improvement methodology initiatives in community services settings. You will use your advanced analytic skills to synthesise information from a wide range of sources to drive meaningful and measurable system improvements as well as supporting day to day operations of the improvement initiatives.
**In this role, you will**:
- use advanced improvement science knowledge to work with provider agencies to enhance their capacity to strengthen care and improve outcomes for child and young people and families
- provide people management and or mentoring to the team and provider agencies to promote and embed improvement science approaches to strengthen care and improve outcomes for children and young people and families
- lead efforts to build improvement science capability within government and across the community sector.
- Experienced in using improvement science to embed evidence-informed interventions and support monitoring and evaluation processes?
- An experienced people manager and motivated team player who works collaboratively to find solutions to complex problems and improvements to systems and processes?
- A strong communicator who can work in partnership with a diverse range of stakeholders?
- Knowledgeable of the human services delivery system and passionate about driving system improvement?

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Provide high quality business intelligence, authoritative advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government based on comprehensive research.
- Oversee the development of policy and initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Review and report on high priority issues, risks and trends and prepare and present comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs and cabinet and agency submissions on complex issues.
