Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage one (1) experienced
**Policy & Engagement Specialist** to join their team.

**About the role**:
The Taskforce is leading work across Commonwealth Government agencies to simplify Australia's international trade regulations, modernize outdated ICT systems, and strengthen Australia's economic resilience.

**Duties of this position**:

- Lead the coordination and development of briefing products, policy advice and talking points.
- Influence trade simplification objectives and monitor strategic developments across Government.
- Develop, sustain and leverage productive relationships with Government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Develop engagement plans, organise meetings and provide high-quality secretariat support.
- Support planning and reporting through preparation of status updates and identification of any compliance and risk issues.

**Ideally you will have**:

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with previous APS experience
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to craft high quality briefs, talking points and meeting notes.
- Flexible, adaptable and resilient to working in a highly contested environment.
