Role
Lead Machine Learning Engineer
As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer with Mantel Group, you will work with other smart, passionate and skilled people to deliver high-quality data science and ML outcomes to clients. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping technical strategies, leading complex implementations, and driving the success of our AI/ML initiatives.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day
Work in a delivery capacity as a Lead ML Engineer.
You'll oversee the identification and resolution of systemic issues across projects. You'll establish proactive processes for problem-solving, implement high-impact solutions, and drive the adoption of advanced AI techniques aligned with client and industry needs.
Lead technical communication strategies
, ensuring clarity and team alignment.
Independently serve as a technical advisor on engagements
, promoting best practices for AI development and translating complex ideas into business terms for strategic discussions.
Support in AI solution design
, including the architectural design of complex AI solutions. You'll strategically drive AI applications for maximum business value and competitive advantage to align with client and long-term goals, leveraging an in-depth understanding of Mantel's capabilities and market position.
Advise and influence clients to drive strategic direction
, being recognised as a deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) capable of providing guidance beyond the project scope. You'll set project direction, define key milestones, and identify risks and opportunities, implementing mitigations as needed. You'll also support commercial discussions.
Lead major internal initiatives
, driving best practice adoption within the AI & MLE capability.
Champion process improvements and mentor team members
to contribute to Mantel's internal objectives.
Represent and drive Mantel's AI capability internally and externally
. You'll advise clients on AI solutions, ensuring strategic alignment and comprehensive representation of AI & MLE offerings.
