Join Expeditors and have a chance to grow, thrive and fulfill your potential.Job DescriptionTo prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs in compliance with the national regulatory provisions and in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.Accurately classify & value import and export products for customs clearanceAccurately update systems databases with appropriate informationEnsure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes in line with approved Key Performance IndicatorsLiaise professionally and cordially with customers both internal and externalRespond to all queries in a timely manner as defined by standard operational procedureComplete designated training within specified timeframesAssist with transport operations, booking deliveries, billings and Accounting.In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general Brokerage operations.Responsible for all aspects of the job to the Brokerage Manager.QualificationsAustralian Customs Brokers License, or within 12 months of application.Knowledge of Government RegulationsStandard Operational Procedures for Customs Import Operations.ICS and Third Party SystemsGood geographical knowledgeAccounting knowledgeInternational freight shipping termsPossess elements of Expeditors Attributes and CultureEmbrace Expeditors Mission statementGeneral Mathematical knowledge, including but not exclusive to, dealing with Exchange Rates, Foreign Currency and General LedgerComplete understanding of the movement of GoodsRoad Transport Operational knowledgeAdditional InformationEmployee Health: You and your health are important; Expeditors will support you, with an attractive health insurance package Work Life Balance: At Expeditors we believe that togetherness is a strength, but that work supports life, so we provide a great work environment and offer work some from home benefits Career and Personal Development: Developing you and your skills not only for today's role but for those in the future Financial Security- Join Expeditors knowing that your job and financial security are safe from the effects of the global economy Car & Fuel Allowance: Flexible, to support you in this customer focused role Employee Appreciation: As our greatest asset, we understand the importance of showing our appreciation, respect and acknowledging the value you bring through employee engagementEnhancement Leaders: Through utilising technology solutions and focusing on continuous improvement strategies we continue to evolve our roles and processes to improve efficiency and job satisfaction
