The Unreal Ecosystem (UnEco) team seeks a seasoned software engineer to join their collaborative and innovative environment. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the team's engineering vision and contributing to a stronger, more efficient Unreal development ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach and hold accountable a group of software engineers, guiding them towards best practices and growth opportunities
Partner with discipline and product leadership to develop strategies for improving team health and effectiveness
Foster cross-team collaboration by building healthy relationships with other engineering teams at Riot
Mentor engineers in best practices for the current product phase
Champion sourcing and hiring processes to identify and hire skilled engineers
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager leading engineers
Experience recruiting candidates and growing an engineering team
Experience with software development, including shipping one or more products on large code bases that span a range of platforms and tools
Experience collaborating across departments to create solutions
3+ years of experience as a tech lead
Experience participating in technical discussions such as technical design reviews and code reviews
Experience developing with C++ or C#
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with game development teams
Experience with game engines (ex. Unity, Unreal Engine)
Experience with automation
