Searching for Disability Support Workers in Sydney.

Prudentia Care is an inclusive Disability Support Service providing Core Supports and Short Notice Care to those living with disability.

We are searching for reliable, adaptive, and dependable individuals who are looking to make a difference in the lives of others. In addition, we believe being passionate, fun, professional, and compassionate are also key to delivering a quality service.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
You will be providing support and care within the homes of clients with Disability. You may also be expected to assist them outside of the home at their request. We don't discriminate and have clients with different disabilities and of varying degrees.

We need you to be able to be understanding and calm while finding reason when those you Support find things difficult.

You will possess a passion to provide high quality support wherever needed:

- Personal Care
- Domestic Care and Assistance
- Assisted Movement (such as with a hoist or other equipment)
- Assistance with Daily Life
- Access to the Community
- Plus further activities as defined within their NDIS Plan

**VALUABLE PERSONAL QUALITIES**:

- Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
- Reliability, compassion and empathy are a must

**REQUIRED (Minimum)**:

- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Certificate (or similar)
- Driver License and full access to a vehicle
- COVID-19 Triple Vaccinated (at minimum)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Disability / Aged Care / Community Services (or working towards completion)

**HIGHLY REGARDED (Value Add)**:

- Previous working experience in Disability / Community / Aged Care Support
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (AIN)
- Knowledge of manual handling, and the ability to use a Hoist
- Department of Health COVID-19 Infection Control Training
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module: "Quality, Safety, and You"

**EMPLOYMENT TYPE**:
We are only offering casual employment to begin with because of the delicate nature of matching a Client to the right Support Worker. But we are open to evolving the role in to a semi-permanent nature with fixed hours and days dependent on both your availabilities and the Clients needs.

Please also note that shifts may require weekdays, weekends, and/or overnight work. However, we understand the need for flexibility (including job-share and studies), so we will enquire about your availabilities during the interview process. We request you please be prepared with your schedule upon talking to us.
- Also note: we are an advocate for harmony between a Support Worker and Client, and will discuss your individual availabilities and qualities prior to pairing you with a Client._

**Salary**: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
