The opportunity
- The Compliance Officer reports to the Head of Compliance, Group Head Office, and is part of the broader Group Compliance and Risk Management function at QBE. The role is responsible for supporting compliance across QBE's Group Head Office (GHO) functions and ensuring effective management of compliance risk.
- Your new role- Obligations Management: Support the uplift of compliance risk maturity across GHO functions by assisting with obligations reviews and rationalisation initiative, in accordance with APRA's licencing requirements.- Regulatory Change: Assist with compliance readiness activities as well as post-implementation reviews for the new Financial Accountability Regime (FAR), CPS 230 (including third party risk management) and climate-related financial disclosure obligations.- Compliance Frameworks: Support the implementation and operationalisation of QBE's new Financial Crime Framework across GHO functions.- Incidents & Issues Management: Oversee GHO compliance issues and incidents and ensure robust remediation.- GRC Reporting and Monitoring: Support the use of QBE's GRC system (Insight) as the source of truth for GHO compliance obligations, controls, incidents and issues as well as gift and entertainment reporting. This includes conducting quality reviews on Insight information to ensure accuracy and completeness and supporting periodic reporting for GHO Compliance.
- About you- Experience in a similar compliance role.- Good knowledge of compliance frameworks and controls development.- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements within the financial services industry (APRA desirable).- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to manage and deliver conflicting priorities.
