GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries. Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.

We currently have active studies and projects across a range of commodities including gold, copper, nickel, graphite, lithium, vanadium, rare earths and zinc. GRES also has up-coming commissioning's, including the West Musgrave and Mungari projects in WA, where we will need you to play a pivotal role in bringing these operations into production.

We are currently seeking a Metallurgist to join our growing office team based in our Ascot office. Working alongside a multi-disciplined engineering and design team, you will provide support to the Technical Services team by providing site commissioning and process design, in relation to study and project activities.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to put your name against successful projects.

**Key Responsibilities of the role**:

- Complete the process design through analysing test work outcomes and using sound metallurgical principles for the projects under development
- Site commissioning and ramp up of the current projects
- Process design and prepare process design information
- Work with JKSimMet and SysCAD modelling software to develop process designs, mass and balance models for processes under design
- Assist in the coordination of risk assessments, HAZID, HAZAN and HAZOP activities and workshops
- Review designs, calculations, vendor data and study documents where delegated
- Liaise with specialist consultants and sub-consultants in relation to process specific design elements undertaken outside GRES

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- A degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering essential
- Minimum 5 years operational and/or design experience
- Experience working in a mineral processing engineering, design and construction environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills together with sound writing skills for reports and proposals
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
