Hazell Bros is a family owned business that has been operating for over 75 years. The core Hazell Bros business functions are Civil Construction, Quarries, Concrete, Construction Material Testing, Plant Hire, Transport, Asset Servicing and Industrial Services.
**Your new role**
As a member of the Company Chief Executive (CCE) team, the Chief People Officer (CPO) oversees all aspects of Human Resources management of Hazell Bros. An exciting new national role which lifts the People and Culture portfolio to the CCE team due to the importance of people to the future of Hazell Bros.
The CPO reports directly to the Managing Director (MD) and possesses the necessary skills and experience to provide leadership and support the delivery of the overall business strategy. The role will be required to challenge internal stakeholders and influence strategic delivery in all operating regions (currently Tasmania, South-East Queensland, and South Australia). The CPO is also responsible for actively influencing, engaging with, and advising the Board, CCE Team and Operational Managers to secure Hazell Bros people capacity requirement and capabilities into the future.
The successful applicant will be someone who possesses a strategic mindset, can develop a people and culture strategy that aligns to the strategic plan, can challenge the way of working and someone who understands and can deliver on contemporary Human Resources strategies including diversity and staff engagement. They will also have the experience and capability to be able to successfully deliver cultural change, implement strong HR practices with a collaborative approach and have outstanding leadership skills. The successful CPO is likely to be the type of person who is energised by challenges, changing work environments and landscapes as well as innovation and excellence.

You will be an accomplished People & Culture Leader who can join a team focused on driving continuous improvement and ways of working to deliver a meaningful and long-lasting impact across the organisation. You will be a real influencer who can be collaborative, courageous, agile and disciplined about delivering outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Success in leading organisational and cultural transformation initiatives.
- Proven Executive experience, operating in a complex business environment, managing expectations of multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Track record in leadership and proven experience supporting an Executive Team, Board and Subcommittees.
- Demonstrated capability in contemporary and innovative people-based transformation activities.
- Post graduate degree in Human Resources or a related field.
