Our client is seeking an experienced Stock Person to join their team. This position is based at Chinchilla, South Queensland.

**About the role**
This is a permanent opportunity to work with a well-known client based at Chinchilla. As a Stock Person, you will be committed to safety, animal welfare and have excellent horsemanship.

Responsibilities may include:

- Mustering on motorcycles and horses
- Yard duties including-drafting, branding, castrating and assisting in trucking
- Maintaining accurate records of animal treatments and stock movements
- Diagnosis and reporting of animal health symptoms
- Machinery operations and maintenance
- Station repairs and maintenance
- Land management - weed control and fire management

**Hourly rates**:$24.44 per hour + OT and loadings

**Shift Timings**: between 6.00am and 4.00pm

**Roster**: 10:4

**Onsite Accommodation available**

**Horse Agistment & Allowances (if you bring your own horses)**

**About you**
Ideally, you have experience in a similar environment and excellent horsemanship skills and livestock handling skills:

- Strong horsemanship and cattle experienced
- Ability to perform basic procedures such as castration, dehorning and branding
- Strong commitment to animal welfare, health & nutrition
- Horse suitability assessment for all horses brought into the feedlot
- Motorcycle license and experience with mustering
- Horse must have up to date Hendra vaccinations
