Stock Handler

Job Title: Stock Person

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Stock Person. This is a permanent opportunity at Chinchilla, South Queensland.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of animals while working with excellent horsemanship skills.
• Mustering on motorcycles and horses to ensure the efficient movement of stock is a key responsibility of this position.
• In addition, yard duties including drafting, branding, castrating and assisting in trucking will be performed by the Stock Person.
• The successful candidate will also be required to maintain accurate records of animal treatments and stock movements.
• Diagnosis and reporting of animal health symptoms is another important task that will be undertaken by the Stock Person.
• Machinery operations and maintenance, station repairs and maintenance, and land management - weed control and fire management are other responsibilities of this role.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar environment is essential for this role.
• Excellent horsemanship skills and livestock handling skills are also required.
