**STOREPERSON**

Responsible for the smooth operation of the Loading dock and storage areas of the Hotel. This role is vital to significant for financial control in the areas of stock control, waste management and quality assurance.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- General_
- Take "ownership" of the loading dock, its cleanliness, organisation, safety, and its security.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
- Take proper steps to clean area as necessary.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
- Ensure all operating and quality standards are met.
- Report any discrepancies including inspecting for damage and quality before signing off
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Receiving_
- Proper receiving and storage of all food, chemicals, equipment, and dry goods.
- Ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
- Maintain, clean, and sanitise the loading dock area.
- Count, inspect and verify all received products are as per what was ordered and match the delivery docket.
- Inspect and record the quality and weight of all produce.
- Measure and record the temperature of all frozen or refrigerated products.
- Ensure proper, organised, and safe storage of all goods.
- Storerooms_
- Ensure everything is put away in a safe, tidy manner.
- Ensure storerooms are kept clean, tidy and well organised.
- Keep storerooms secure.
- Ensure stock placed in storerooms, cool rooms or freezers are organised for FIFO (first in, first out) and that oldest stock is always used first for perishable items.
- Waste Management_
- Ensure all waste is sorted appropriately.
- Assist waste removal contractors as necessary.
- Monitor waste removal services to make improvements as necessary
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Good organisational and time management skills.

**Salary**: $23.99 - $35.16 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 35 per week
