We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for a 3 month temporary full time role based in Ipswich. This organisation is looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about their work and committed to improving the lives of members of the community.

**Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience**:

- Previous experience working in a medical practice - Min 3 years (medical reception/administration)
- Current Working with Children Blue Card - Paid
- Confidence and ability to think on your feet
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse clientele

**Duties for this position include**:

- Provide frontline customer service and administration support including greeting visitors, answering questions and providing directions
- Answering/directing incoming calls (and taking detailed messages)
- Receive and assign incoming mail and faxes to the appropriate staff
- Schedule appointments and provide follow-up and reminder calls to patients
- Scan incoming paper documents into the electronic record
- Provide administrative assistance to the clinic team as required
- Keep reception desk tidy and ensure its confidentiality
