Security Officer

**The Role**

Come and join the GS APAC Business Systems Team

As the KBR Security Officer for KBR's Government Solutions APAC business you will develop, implement, enforce and monitor security procedures, and ensure compliance with all aspects of government and company security policies and procedures relating to physical access to buildings, governance, personnel and ICT/cyber security. You will work with a small team of dual hatted Security Officers throughout KBR to ensure compliance with KBR security policies and procedures and Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership requirements. You will also oversee security education programs for the business and investigate any serious losses or security violations.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring sensitive and classified materials entrusted to KBR are protected in line with DSPF requirements at all times
- Maintaining a Designated Security Assessed Position (DSAP) list for all KBR staff and subcontractors requiring a Security Clearance
- Sponsoring and managing all Personnel Security Clearances issued under the authority of the DISP membership (approx. 1,300) - delegated to local Security Officers as appropriate
- Managing compliance of and facilitating Defence and KBR mandated security education and training courses
- Implementing arrangements and training for insider threat identification, reporting and management
- Reporting security and fraud incidents and contact reports
- Conducting internal investigations concerning security incidents or issues
- Conducting Security Risk Assessments and physical security inspections of KBR locations as necessary
- Conducting travel briefs and security briefs
- Conducting security compliance checks and auditing
- Liaising with AGSVA and DISO on a regulate basis to discuss security clearance and other security issues
- ownership of the Security Page on the KBR SharePoint site

Other duties include:

- Providing thought leadership and strategic direction on current and emerging security issues and changes to our security obligations and operating environments
- Issuing recommendations on product, process and service improvements related to security
- Management of costs associated with security

**Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge**
- Significant previous experience in security positions with Defence or Defence Industry essential
- Detailed and extensive knowledge of Defence DISP, DSPF and PSPF
- Australian Government Enterprise experience
- An understanding of Australian Cyber Security Policy
- Australian Citizen with a current NV-1 AGSVA clearance as a minimum is mandatory
- Successful completion of Security Officer training course or ability to complete in the future
- Investigations experience desirable
