The Roles

Leader Security is currently seeking experienced and reliable Security Officers and K9 Handlers to join our Mobile Patrol Team covering the Canberra/Queanbeyan region.

The Requirements

As a Patrol Officer, duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all patrol routes are completed in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Responding to alarm activations in accordance with a specified time frame;
  • Responding to disturbances;
  • Preparing and submitting accurate and timely electronic reports;
  • Patrolling clients' premises;
  • Problem identification and resolution.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service with clients and staff.
  • Work with local law enforcement and other security professionals to ensure the safety of the public.

As a K9 Handler, these duties will extend to cover:

  • Attending weekly/fortnightly K9 Handler training.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the K9 Kennels.
  • Exercising the K9's each shift & buidling a bond.
  • Feeding all K9's.
  • Taking designated K9's out on each shift and follow protocols and legistlation in the use of the K9.

Qualifications & Experience

Successful applicants must have:

  • Relevant experience within the Security industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to prepare and write reports
  • Flexibility to work on a 12-hour shift roster (including nights and weekends)
  • A valid Driver's License
  • A current and valid ACT & NSW Security License
  • Previous supervisor/leadership expereince desirable

Previous mobile patrols experience and/or security clearance will be highly regarded.
