From budgeting to strategic advice, you'll work closely with our leadership to ensure our financial systems are as reliable as the services we provide.Responsibilities Supporting the development of budgeting and accounting policies to enhance effective financial planning Compiling financial statements for review by boards of directors, management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities Performing financial analyses, generating reports, conducting audits, and providing guidance on matters like business acquisitions, mergers, capital funding, suspected fraud, insolvency, and tax issues Analyzing operational costs and the organization's revenue and expenses to improve financial efficiency Ensuring the accuracy and regulatory compliance of financial reports Offering expert advice on taxation and financial strategies for business structures, plans, and operations Preparing tax returns for individuals and entities Collaborating with financial institutions and brokers to set up fund management arrangements Implementing and managing accounting systems, and recommending the selection and use of computer-based accounting tools Upholding internal control systems to protect assets and maintain operational accuracy Evaluating cash flow and financial risks associated with capital investment projects to guide strategic decision-making What We're Looking For Relevant qualifications in Accounting At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within manufacturing or electronics industries Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial reporting requirements Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities Proven track record in audits, budgeting, and financial advisory services Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced settingWhat We OfferAt Marks Electronics, we value precision, innovation, and our team's expertise.
