Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an Early Childhood Group Educator to join the team at Curry Kids Early Learning Centre.
Benefits include: What We Offer: Queensland Local Government Industry Award - ($71,000 to $73,000 per annum, depending on qualifications/experience) + Superannuation Professional development and training opportunities Supportive team culture with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement Leave Benefits: Personal (Sick) Leave, Monthly RDOs, and 5 weeks Annual Leave Housing Assistance: Remote Area Housing Assistance ($60 pw Renting / $90 pw Homeowner) What You Will Do: Develop, implement, and evaluate inclusive and age-appropriate educational programs Ensure programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children Provide leadership and support to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare Build positive connections with children, families, and the community Keep developmental records and communicate progress with families Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and childcare regulations What We Are Looking For: Strong leadership skills with a commitment to high-quality early childhood education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A proactive and collaborative team player Genuine passion for early childhood learning and development Qualifications & Requirements: Completion of Certificate III or IV in Children's Services with proof of enrolment in an AQF Diploma in Children's Services, OR Diploma in Children's Services (AQF Level 2) OR Advanced Diploma or higher in Children's Services or Education Current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or ability to obtain before commencement) Valid Working with Children Blue Card Current Police Clearance Desirable: Previous experience in early childhood education Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant regulations Ability to plan and implement engaging educational programs For a detailed job outline, please refer to the attached Position Description.
