Georges River Councilis seeking a qualified and motivated Arborist to join the City Recreation team in a permanent full-time capacity.
The role contributes to safe, sustainable tree management for the local environment and aligns with Council's Tree Management Policy, Australian Standards (AS4373), and industry best practices.
Responsibilities include assessing tree permit applications, responding to service requests, conducting tree risk assessments, and maintaining records in the tree management inventory system.
The role requires both independent and team-based work and supports the care and management of public and private tree assets across the local area.
What We Offer
Permanent, Full-Time – 72 hours per fortnight
Salary from $90,403.92 to $104,746.51 per annum plus 12% superannuation
4-day work week

What We Are Looking For
Relevant tertiary qualifications in arboriculture (AQF5) or currently undertaking
Class C Driver's Licence
Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Extensive knowledge and experience in assessing tree health and structural condition
Experience in identifying trees, pests, diseases, and mechanical/structural faults
Experience in risk management related to trees (TRAQ)
Experience in public consultation and conflict resolution
Ability to create accurate, clear, concise, and timely reports
Ability to work effectively within a team
Understanding and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
Commitment to customer service
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
