The role As an Assistant Advisor you will provide support in the management of a range of allocated human resource and industrial relation matters. You will also assist in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholder groups. You will assist with the provision of advice and support to managers and staff. This role is an ideal entry pathway for someone who wishes to work in the field of public sector industrial relations.
The successful personYou will have a demonstrated understanding or the ability to rapidly acquire an understanding, of the Queensland and Australian industrial relations systems. You will have the ability to operate autonomously as well as work collaboratively as a member of a team. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills will be necessary to effectively support your team and relationships with stakeholders. This includes undertaking:

- research and analysis of human resource and industrial relations issues, and
- preparing sound written advice to support effective responses to such issues.
