We are looking for an **Extrusion Operator.**

As an Extrusion Operator you will set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines or manual production using related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

**About the Role**

Extruding pipe to precise measurements and quality standards requires attention to detail and monitoring skills. For the process to run well, it needs to start well. Once the process is underway it is about minimising downtime by making adjustments when required and rectifying problems at the root cause, and not generating scrap.

**About You**

Ideally you will have previous experience controlling a process or operating machinery in a manufacturing environment where safety is paramount. Along with that you will need to be able to demonstrate:

- Know-how and understanding of quality control, safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and an ability to use hand tools.
- A strong work ethic with reliability and commitment
- An ability and willingness to work a 7-day 24-hour roster in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $31.81 - $46.39 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (required)

- Australia (required)
