Aluminium Extrusion Press Operator Job

This job is ideal for those with a passion for operating machinery and working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

About the Role:

The aluminium extrusion press operator will be responsible for conducting pre-shift checks to equipment and extrusion schedule, identifying the section and setting all extrusion parameters correctly, operating all press functions manually, achieving high efficiency in recovery, speed, and contact utilisation, inspecting regularly to ensure quality of the material produced is consistent, recording SAP transactions, adhering to production order details, including alloy, section, temper, properties, and quantity, maintaining company objectives, such as process optimisation, manufacturing cost, delivery performance, and recovery within organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting pre-shift checks to equipment and extrusion schedule.
  • Identifying the section and setting all extrusion parameters correctly.
  • Operating all press functions manually.
  • Inspecting regularly to ensure quality of the material produced is consistent.
  • Recording SAP transactions.
  • Adhering to production order details.
  • Maintaining company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience operating aluminium extrusion presses.
  • In-depth knowledge of metal and other material properties.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and instructions.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Stable employment history within the aluminium extrusion industry.
  • Ability to live and work in Australia.
