We are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Federal Government Agency in Canberra.Initial contract to 30 June 2026 with extensionsCanberra based roleHybrid working arrangements availableWe are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Federal Government Agency in Canberra.Initial contract to 30 June 2026 with extensionsCanberra based roleHybrid working arrangements availableAbout the companyLarge Federal Government Agency responsible for conducting federal elections and referendums and maintaining the Commonwealth electoral roll.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to work as part of the Systems and Platforms team, to enable the delivery of the Commissions objectives and outcomes by undertaking the design, implementation and operational support of Network services infrastructure.DutiesParticipating in section planning for short term tasks and contribute to strategic planning for long term initiatives of theAgency.Assist the Agencies transition to Cloud.Developing and supporting key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals and represent the agency by promoting its interests in various forms.Providing accurate specialist advice, guidance, and reporting on team functional responsibilities.Making and communicating decisions using good judgement, expertise, and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required and directed by the relevant Director/Team Leader or delegate.Skills & experienceAbility to research, analyse, evaluate and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.
