**YMCA Wynnum Community Hub **is recruiting an **Operations Support and Engagement Officer** **on a **part time, permanent basis** to join our team located in** Wynnum, QLD.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a **Operations Support and Engagement Officer**, you will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations of the Cannon Hill Community Centre.

Duties include (but are not limited too):

- Support the development of programs and support initiatives in a way that proactively considers how impact will be measured, seeking advice from relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
- Deliver resources, activities and events for the local community.
- Supports the promotion of social connectedness in the community.
- Provide direction and support to volunteers and program contractors to ensure that they are fulfilling their tasks appropriately and within the YMCA mission and values.
- Create opportunities for individuals and community groups to participate positively in their community and improve access to support services.
- Assist in the provision of effective and efficient management, supervision and coaching to volunteers.
- Actively facilitate processes to gather information to monitor, evaluate and then adapt programs and activities to ensure the impact is maximized.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Diploma qualified or other relevant qualifications and or a combination of relevant qualifications and experience
- Comprehensive working knowledge of community centre environments
- Two years of experience within a community centre, community engagement or facilities role
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated staff supervision, training and development skills
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
- Ability to manage, conflict, complaints and any difficult situations, which may arise
- High level of written and verbal communication skills including proven ability to write reports, and communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Current Open Queensland Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates; or willingness to obtain
- Positive Notice Blue Card; or willingness to obtain
