Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
We keep the cloud running by supporting data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to the AWS innovations customers rely on.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
You'll collaborate across AWS to deliver safety and security while providing substantial capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers, in an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers ownership to completion.
The Global Network Deployment (GND) organization is responsible for the cabling infrastructure, network hardware deployment, and program management across AWS data centers worldwide.
Key responsibilities
Develop new concepts and operating models to deliver impactful changes in sourcing, delivering best in class business models.
Manage individual contributor job performance.
Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs as needed.
Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
End to end responsibility for the program's execution and success.
Collaborate with a range of stakeholders including supply chain, operations, engineering, and suppliers to drive supply profiles and support on-time material availability.
Analyze business and technology trends to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and minimize risks for AWS and its customers.
Manage material inventories for AWS data centers.
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
Lead cross-functional meetings with clear documentation, agenda creation, note capture, and follow-up action coordination.
Serve as an escalation point for teams to remediate supplier/material risks.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of project management experience OR 7 years of project management experience (experience can be substituted for degree).
3+ years managing teams ranging from 3-10+ direct reports.
Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness to travel up to 25%, including domestic and international travel.
Data center and/or cabling infrastructure experience.
Supply Chain experience.
Strong negotiation and contracting skills with ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau.
