**About the Role**

We are currently seeking experienced Quality and Compliance Manager (Aged Care) to join our client team in the Sydney office on a Permanent Full-time basis.

We are currently seeking a Quality and Compliance Manager to represent this dynamic aged care organisation. This managerial appointment will require seasoned aged care professionals to oversee compliance across a Community Aged Care portfolio.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and working in close collaboration with the Home Manager(s) and National Clinical Governance. This position is responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of quality and clinical governance systems and processes across all areas of home care to ensure a high standard of quality, care and safety.

You will be required to manage a small team of Quality Coordinators and work closely with the Executive team to ensure all accreditation standards are being met. You will also be expected to contribute to the organisation's strategic direction, including input and advice to support organisational strategy and objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- High-level interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to foster effective working relationships with line managers and gain cooperation in the development and implementation of processes and/or projects.
- Facilitation of continuous improvement measures by identifying, monitoring and actioning activities to improve quality indicators, resident outcomes and experience.
- Supporting the establishment and maintenance of quality and clinical governance systems and processes across the Aged Care department.
- Assisting in the definition and implementation of QA strategies
- Quality and Safety Commission Standards, developing appropriate action to ensure compliance is maintained.
- Educating and supporting staff to ensure processes conform to the principles of continuous quality improvement to critically examine practice, practice change, safety and efficiency.
- Assisting to monitor compliance, identifying deficiencies and minimising the impact on consumers.
- Monitoring and advising on the purpose and performance of Quality systems, producing data and reporting on performance and measuring against set standards and the needs of stakeholders
- Acting as a point of contact on quality matters as required, coordinating nonconformity and corrective actions.
- Leading activities associated with accreditation and meeting external auditing requirements.
- Assisting and undertaking audits in line with clinical and non-clinical audit programs
- Analysing data and preparing reports with recommendations, where relevant
- Assisting in the management of clinical/non-clinical and risk elements.
- Assisting in the development of appropriate QA, risk and other related reports

**Role Requirements**
- A degree in relevant tertiary qualifications to support this position are essential.
- Additional qualifications or experience in Quality would be highly regarded.
- At least 3 years of senior aged care management experience
- Experience being in charge of Quality and compliance within the aged care sector.
- Demonstrated Clinical and leadership skills.
- Expert knowledge of the Aged Care accreditation process
- Excellent understanding of quality assurance and auditing processes
- Continuous improvement, gap & risk analysis experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication & leadership skills
- Valid AHPRA registration - Div. 1 Registered Nurse (Desirable)
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment (Desirable)
