To work closely with the Employment Service team to provide comprehensive job market research and grow ASC Partners Employers network

**Position**:Business Development Advisor

**Service Area**: Employment Service
**Commitment Period**:at least 12 months
**Days and hours required per week**:5 hours per week
**Reports to**:Employment Manager

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Develop a business development plan that meets the Employment Service team's guidelines & needs.
- Implement a business development plan, when required.
- Create a pipeline of potential employer partners.
- Create and attend meetings with potential employer partners.
- Ensure potential employer partners adhere to minimum employment standards.
- Advocate on behalf of job seekers.
- Provide weekly updates on progress to the Employment Service team.
- Ensure accurate up-to-date information is captured & shared with the Employment Service team.
- Support the Employment Service team in monitoring and identifying market trends.

**Selection Criteria**
- Experience working in recruitment, business development or leader/ expert in chosen industry
- Excellent communication skills, including cross-cultural sensitivity
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to develop a sound understanding of issues affecting people seeking asylum within the current Australian context
- Experience working with people from various backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
- Ability to adapt effectively to change
- Ability to think innovatively and creatively to solve problems
- Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality

- Undertake a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement and ensure it is up-to-date
- Support a child safe organisation by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and to comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirements
