Painter
to bring colour, care, and craftsmanship to our facilities. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a homelike and uplifting environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
This is more than just painting walls – it's about enhancing comfort, ensuring safety, and making a meaningful difference in people's daily lives.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out
internal and external painting and decorating
to a high standard of finish.
Preparing surfaces with care – from plaster patching and sanding to setting – ensuring long-lasting results.
Protecting furniture and property while you work, with minimal disruption to residents.
Following
workplace safety and infection control standards
, always using protective equipment and safe work practices.
Maintaining and caring for tools and materials.
Working independently and managing your time effectively while keeping quality at the forefront.
Engaging politely and professionally with residents, families, and colleagues.
What we're looking for
A
trade qualification in painting
(with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience).
Proven track record of high-quality painting and decorating work – with an eye for detail.
Strong knowledge of
painting techniques, surface preparation, and safety practices
.
The ability to work
autonomously
and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Good physical fitness to carry out manual tasks such as moving furniture and ladder use.
Excellent communication skills
and a respectful, consumer-focused approach.
Current
National Police Clearance
.
Up-to-date
COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations
(highly recommended).
