We strive to empower every team member to bring their authentic self and ideas to work, while making a positive impact in our communities and in the world.Watch Our Story: HDRPrimary ResponsibilitiesTake responsibility for companywide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of state DOT planning and modal staff and products to meet client needs and market driversCollaborate with Practice Group members to elevate our statewide multimodal planning practice and help state DOT clients set strategic goals and design implementable policies to achieve themIdentify market opportunities in close coordination with Area Business Development Leaders and develop winning pursuit strategies; assist with local and national pursuitsMonitor transportation policies at the federal, state, and local levels involving all modes of transportation and help clients develop strategic plans to leverage HDR's talent poolWork with other Practice Leaders to develop transformative ideas that enable clients to take advantage of emerging transportation trends and future-proof investmentsDrive open communication with Practice Group members regarding production needs; collaborate with areas to influence staffing and expertise levelsIdentify industry talent and work with Area and Corporate leadership to attract and retain staffOversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectationsMaintain standards for quality and consistency of service brandMaintain qualification packages and staff skills matrix for project pursuits; assist with marketing materials including proposalsLead workshare communications that result in technical excellence and enhanced utilizationAdvocate for professional development of staff and development of production tools, best practices, policies and procedures, papers and presentations, and automation toolsServe as a project manager for major policy and strategic planning projects and leverage HDR's global expertise to deliver quality work on timeDevelop client relationships in coordination with Area Business Development Leaders and local transportation planning staffRepresent HDR at regional and national professional organizations (AASHTO, SASHTO, MAASTO, NASTO, WASHTO)Model HDR values, professional standards, and ethical/business conduct as required by clients and licensing entitiesPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Planning, Engineering, or related discipline preferredProfessional registration such as AICP, PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP preferredRequired QualificationsMaster's degree in Business Administration or closely related fieldA minimum of 10 years of consulting experience and extensive related expertiseProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, Outlook)Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, organizational and follow-up skillsActive participant in an employee-owned cultureWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
