We are seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join the Safety Team located in Dandenong South. Reporting to the EHS Manager - Australia, this role requires you to provide support to all employees, including leaders, in all facets of safety and environment management.
This role will suit a person who enjoys a level of autonomy and is able to complete administration requirements associated with safety management in an efficient manner. As we run a 24-hour operation, this role will at times require flexibility over each shift.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Administration of Safety Management System(s) (SMS)
- Conducting risk Assessments (Plant/Manual)
- Injury Management including coordination and management of incident and injury database and provide follow-up reports for management.
- Development of safety training material and administration of Safety Training
- Leading Safety Committee Meetings while working in consultation with Health and Safety Representatives
- Maintenance of the Chemical Safety Management System.
- Conducting regular site audits/ inspections for the general site to ensure compliance of regulatory requirements and accreditation of the HSE system
- Driver of sustainability initiatives, including recycling and waste disposal activity programs
- Administration of Environmental Management System (EMS), while ensuring compliance with ISO14001.
**Job Requirements**:
**To be successful in this role**:
- Minimum Cert IV in OHS and Occupational, Health and Safety
- Experience in manufacturing/ warehouse environment highly advantageous
- Experience in Chemical Safety Management highly advantageous
- Experience in managing workers' compensation claims and rehabilitation would be an advantage
- Knowledgeable in ISO and Australian Standards
- Intermediate computer literacy, Experience with Microsoft Office
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills with a very positive attitude
