Overview
Program Coordinator - Head of Learning Community is a permanent full-time position at the Department of Education, Western Australia, based at Shenton College. The role is commencing Term 1, 2026.

The school serves a Middle School (Years 7-8) and Senior School (Years 9-12) with a range of programs including Gifted and Talented Education (GATE).
Role and Responsibilities
Provide strategic and visionary leadership to the Middle School, driving initiatives that align with the school's business planning.
Mentor and empower high-performing teams, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment to achieve outstanding educational outcomes.
Possibly oversee a specific learning area within the Middle School and contribute to the overall vision and direction of Shenton College.
Support the development of engaging, holistic learning experiences for younger adolescents and ensure teaching practices are fun, purposeful, and relevant.
Qualifications and Eligibility
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
