We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise in Term 1 of the 2026 school year.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers.

Location and Community
Tambrey PS is an Independent Public School, centrally located in the City of Karratha 1600km north-west of Perth.
Our school is part of the Pilbara Education Region and has recently celebrated its 35th anniversary.
The Pilbara has diverse cultural and environmental experiences from Exmouth to Broome to Tom Price.
Karratha offers a number of modern facilities and is one of the fastest growing towns in the north of Western Australia.
Known as 'Munjaree'- or the heart of the West Pilbara Coast - its size and central location make it the ideal base for exploring the natural delights of the area.
Millstream- Chichester National Park, Karijini National Park, Dampier Archipelago, Point Samson Peninsula and the Burrup Peninsula and Murujuga National Park - Karratha is the home of boating, camping and fishing.

Iron and awe can be found in equal measure in Karratha.
Known for its iron ore operations, this is the gateway to the marine-life rich Dampier Archipelago, the world's most prolific prehistoric rich engraving site, Karijini's four-billion-year-old adventure playground and Millstream's Chichester National Park.
It's also one of the few locations where you can witness the Staircase to the Moon.
Karratha is a two-hour flight or a 16-hour road trip from Perth and a three-hour drive south of Port Hedland.

The Role
We are looking for Teachers who can commence at Tambrey PS in Term 1, 2026.
In collaboration with the Principal and members of the Executive Team, suitable applicants will contribute to the implementation of the school's business plan and continue the work of the school's long-term vision.
Suitable applicants will ideally have the capacity to deliver high quality educational experiences that meet the needs of a diverse range of students, by implementing the WA Curriculum and Assessment Outline, along with the Education Linked to Families (ELF) in kindergarten.
We are seeking applicants who can become part of a professional learning community culture with a growth mindset and be open to accessing instructional coaching and mentoring to maximise student outcomes with ongoing analysis of student performance data and evidence-based differentiated best practice.
They will ideally have an understanding of high impact educational strategies and the capacity to influence, facilitate and lead change to improve student outcomes and adopt whole school programs and approaches to achieve this.
We highly value applicanta who possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school's values, ethos and priorities across the school community.
You will build positive relationships with students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students.
We are seeking performance driven individuals who utilise evidence based decision-making skills and work in a collaborative team.
Suitable applicants will ideally have experience delivering high quality programs and have a deep curriculum knowledge, with a particular focus on explicit instruction and a response-to-intervention model of instruction.
A thorough understanding of Cultural Responsiveness and English as an Additional Language / Dialect (EAL/D) processes would be an advantage.
The ability to build positive relationships is highly regarded.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
