**Position Details**

We are seeking a dynamic Primary Music Teacher to join our passionate and collaborative Creative Arts Team. At Portside Christian College we believe that every child is worthy of our best, every day. Our Creative Arts Program encourages students to develop their unique skills, talents and abilities through relevant and engaging curriculum.

If you do not have experience in Music but are interested in a primary teaching role you are also encouraged to apply.

This is a part time role beginning January 2025. Permanency may be offered based on qualifications and experience. Demonstrated experience, in a Primary Music education setting is preferred. Graduate teachers are also encouraged to apply. This position will be directly responsible to the College Principal through the Deputy Principal of Primary and/or the Director of Creative and Performing Arts.

- South Australian Teacher Registration, or be eligible to obtain registration
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a Teaching and Learning Team
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, staff and parents
- Demonstrated effective pedagogical practice in Music education
- Demonstrated ability to create an engaged, respectful and collaborative classroom culture
- Ability to manage the demands of the position including administration and professional responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the Christian life of the College community
- Proficiency as a musician
- Ability to coordinate and direct primary school performances (preferable but not essential)
- Knowledge and experience in directing choirs and/or instrumental ensembles (preferable but not essential)
