With significant investment and growth, we are developing new products and manufacturing technologies to extend our wind sensors' unique capabilities to meteorology, marine, and defense markets.Located in Sunbury-on-Thames, UK (Hybrid optional)40 hours per week (Flexi-time)Please note: Candidates will be required to undergo a background and reference check as part of the hiring process.Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDesignDesign, develop, test, and document analogue, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits and PCBs.Write requirements, system, design, test, and technical specifications based on inputs from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or Sales.Create dFMEA for electronics design and support dFMEA for related disciplines.Support product design, system integration, verification, dFMEA & pFMEA, product validation, and handover to production alongside other Engineering team members.Assist management and other departments in customer interactions.Investigate and resolve faults on returned products, supporting troubleshooting efforts.ResearchContribute to the conceptual stage of research, design, and development.Apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory to project challenges.Specify, develop, and evaluate novel circuit designs to demonstrate technological feasibility.Collaborate with colleagues in embedded software, mechanical design, acoustics, aerodynamics, and other disciplines to assess electronics' impact on system performance.Project ManagementManage and deliver specific NPD projects or sub-projects led by the electronics design team.Provide estimates and progress reports on work breakdown structures, tasks, and timelines.Offer guidance on electronics project management to other engineers and junior staff.Quality ControlEnsure quality control throughout the electronics development cycle using documentation, reviews, verification, validation, change, and configuration management tools like Altium ECAD & Windchill PLM.Support quality control and continuous improvement of PCBAs and products to meet customer requirements and deadlines.Continuously improve development guidelines and design control processes.Other DutiesAttend relevant training to perform duties efficiently.Comply with company policies on equal opportunities and health & safety.Perform additional duties as required within the role's scope.Skills, Abilities, and Experience (Essential)A degree in Electronics or a related field.Deep knowledge of analogue and mixed-signal circuit design, including PCB design (preferably with Altium).
Experience with interface circuits and microcontroller & FPGA interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI).
Proficiency in analogue circuit design for data acquisition and processing.Understanding digital and analogue filtering, power management, and circuit theory.Familiarity with R&D methodologies for high-tech products.Personal QualitiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Conscientious, focused, and capable of understanding end-user requirements.Team player, able to work cross-functionally.Comfortable working under time constraints to meet deadlines.Why Work With Us?
