OverviewJoin to apply for the Senior Corporate Accountant role at AusNet.Direct message the job poster from AusNet.About the roleAs a Senior Corporate Accountant, you'll play a key role in AusNet's Group Finance function, sharing accountability for the preparation of financial information for Group Reporting.
You'll also take ownership of specialist responsibilities, including finance systems maintenance, automation, and process improvement.
This is a hands-on role in a collaborative environment, focused on solving problems and driving efficiency and innovation in finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead general ledger month-end close, consolidation, and reportingReview and approve journal entries across the finance teamPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial statementsMaintain and improve automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query, macros)Support auditors with queries and documentationTrain and coach finance team members on automation toolsMaintain finance systems and documentationWhat You'll BringCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification (or credible path to qualification)Strong experience with finance systems (SAP ECC or S/4 HANA highly desirable)Proficiency in automation tools (Power BI, Power Query, Excel models)Analytical mindset with a passion for process improvementExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work productively in complex, multi-disciplinary environmentsA self-starter attitude and a collaborative spiritWhat we offerFlexibility: hybrid work, flexible hours, or part-time arrangements to balance work and lifeLeave: generous personal leave and 14 weeks of paid parental leave with no minimum serviceCommunity giving: a paid day to volunteer with our social impact partner, Foodbank, or a cause you care aboutPerks: benefits such as purchased leave, income protection insurance, novated leasing, corporate discounts, private health cover discounts, and moreApplication notesPlease apply directly.
