With more than 70,000+ pieces of equipment, our strategically placed national branch network ensures we can fulfill our customers' rental plant and machinery requirements wherever their next project is located, whilst remaining nimble enough to support local projects.

Description:
About the role

We currently have two Team Leader vacancies at our Sydney Portables branch, located at Glendenning. As a Team Leader, you will ensure all buildings, toilets and equipment is maintained as well as maximising the availability for hire through the co-ordination of yard staff and preparation of buildings.

In this role, you will also:

- Demonstrate strong communication and leadership in health and safety, ensuring all standards are met
- Consistently work to improve building/toilet availability to ensure that all hires can be met, including the servicing and repair of portable buildings
- Train new Yardperson(s) on service and procedures and provide technical support to team members.
- Ensure all returning portables are inspected thoroughly upon return to confirm any damage and report promptly for recharge
- Efficiently allocate materials and labour to avoid waste or downtime.
- Ensure workshop parts and consumables are stocked and R&M parts are ordered in a timely manner.
- Assist the Branch Manager to undertake people related requirements for your team, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, learning and development.
- Complete all required paperwork for self and team.

Skills and experience
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to promote, influence and drive a positive safety culture
- Relevant Portables experience in rental, industrial, construction or related industry
- Handyperson with a strong aptitude for hands-on, building tasks
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and practical requirements
- Valid motor vehicle and high risk work licences
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Exceptional multi-tasking, planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
