As a result of our growth, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-oriented **Accounts Payable **team member to join our finance team and drive the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.

**About our opportunity**

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) function, and play a key role in ensuring the quality of primary transactions captured by the accounting system.

You may be well-versed working within a large healthcare business, or you may be looking to take the next step in your career in a new industry. Either way, you will join a supportive team, with the opportunity to expand your skill base.

**Key focuses of the role include**:

- Process supplier invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and authorisation within company guidelines
- Maintain accounts payable electronic and paper filing systems
- Assist with bank reconciliations, expense account reconciliations, and ad-hoc finance duties as required
- Prepare regular reconciliation of major supplier accounts
- Investigate discrepancies and liaise with suppliers / staff to resolve all invoice queries or issues
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency of finance department systems

**To thrive in this role, you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience across the Accounts Payable function
- An outstanding eye for detail, high level of accuracy, and strong numeracy skills
- High level communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of people and manage stakeholder expectations professionally and within agreed timeframes
- A forward-thinking and proactive approach with the ability to identify efficiencies
- The ability to work to prioritise tasks and work autonomously to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (Sage X3 highly regarded)
