At Infinite Aged Care, our Hospitality Assistants play a key role in meeting residents' daily needs. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will work as part of the Hotel Services team, handling a variety of activities including food preparation and service, in-room service and keeping dining areas clean and ready for service.
Responsibilities
Prepare, plate and serve food to residents.
Clean kitchen and dining room areas, including related equipment.
Maintain excellent safety awareness by adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
Make each dining experience enjoyable for elderly residents.
This role is physical and involves bending, squatting, lifting and moving items. You should be able to perform these tasks safely for yourself, colleagues and residents.
Qualifications
6 months kitchen experience, preferably in the aged care sector.
Strong workplace safety mindset; ability to follow procedures and communicate effectively.
Support residents around dining areas and maintain a hazard-free environment.
Ability to problem solve, work with limited supervision and think on your feet.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Hardworking, flexible with good availability to cover shifts.
Genuine care and compassion during mealtimes.
