**Job Description**:
TOMRA is looking to appoint a **Test Centre Technician **to work in the Mining Test Centre in Sydney, Australia and support test centre engineers working in the testing facility with a range of responsibilities both technical and warehousing based.

The Test Centre Technician will be responsible for preparing geological samples for testing (crushing, screening, splitting, sampling of materials), shipping and receiving, labelling and data entry, forklift driving, as well as general maintenance and cleaning.
- Sample preparation for testing: Crushing, screening, splitting, sampling as well as diligent sample labelling and organization.
- Shipping and receiving of samples to and from the Test Centre. This involves getting multiple quotes, producing shipping manifests using MS Office, booking in of pick-up dates, and receiving samples into the database and facility.
- Organization, documentation, and packing of testwork samples.
- Forklift driving involving large heavy samples and various forklift attachments including jib & drum attachment.
- Cleaning, general maintenance of facility, some manual handling etc.
- Some interaction with visiting clients during witnessed testwork.

**Qualifications**:

- Keen to work in a role where tasks are varied and changing every day.
- Prepared to undergo High Risk Work license (forklift).
- Prepared to undergo other training if need be, such as Working at Heights or Working in Confined Spaces.
- Willing to undergo drug / alcohol screening and/or police clearance if necessary.
- Must be able to pass a "Fit For Work" medical for the mining environment.
- Hard worker who can handle some manual labour involving processing of mineral samples, carrying of heavy objects.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Always work with a Team approach in mind and work with all employees and customers with great respect.
- Ideally some experience in geotechnical, warehousing, forklifting, and/or stock management.
- Completion of high school.
- Australian Drivers license required.
