What you'll do
- Grow and improve an effective self-organising, multi-functional and well-adapted team where individuals recognise that team success is more important than individual success.
- Lead the delivery of large, complex projects.
- Support the team with being data-driven and track agreed performance metrics.
- Enable team members' personal development and track objectives through regular one-to-ones.
- Promote learning, experimentation and knowledge sharing and encourage creativity. Help the team to continuously improve their process and behaviour through regular reflection and adaptation.
- Liaise effectively and maintain relationships with Management Team, Product Owners, Tech Leaders, Project Managers and Stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Teams to develop and detail best practice within the Engineering Function.

What you'll bring
- Previous experience managing Software Engineering Teams, with extensive grounding in data privacy and information security, and knowledge of dev/test process improvement, tools and automation
- World class Leadership with a track record of delivering complex, scalable software solutions into production
- Be a credible Agile/Scrum/Lean/Kanban engineering leader for a team of hard-working software engineers and scientists
- Ability to communicate and coordinate between teams. Take pride and ownership in your work, representing your team to other parts of Sky.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
