About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Long Term Maintenance Planner to join our team and take ownership of long-term maintenance strategies across a large fleet of heavy mining equipment. In this role.

What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain long-term maintenance plans for heavy mining equipment (HME), including component sourcing, procurement, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with site maintenance planners to ensure planned component change-outs and work packages are completed to contract requirements.
- Maintain accurate equipment files and conduct strategic component life reviews for existing and new assets.
- Collaborate with the reliability team to prevent early component failures through condition monitoring and proactive maintenance.
- Manage compliance to maintenance plans and ensure component ordering and availability aligns with site schedules.
- Monitor and optimise CMMS systems (MEX, JDE) for improvement opportunities and report emerging issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in component strategy and replacement execution.

What You Bring
- Trade Certificate and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar planning role within an open cut mining operation.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS software (MEX, SAP, AMT, JDE).
- Knowledge of major OEMs such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, and Liebherr equipment.
- Current QLD Class C Driver's License (HR License desirable).
- Exposure to diagnostic tools such as SIS (CAT), INSITE (Cummins), and Lidos (Liebherr) highly regarded.
