Law Clerk (Workers Compensation) | Casual Position

What are we looking for?

A rare and exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Law Clerk to join our Workers' Compensation space in the Ashfield NSW office. This role is casual full time position. Competitive hourly rate.

You will be supporting a busy practise who work for our clients who have sustained a workplace related injury or contracted an illness at work. Our clients can be entitled to a range of benefits and compensation under the Workers Compensation Scheme. Our Lawyers in the Workers Compensation team, understand that suffering a workplace injury, can present major hurdles to overcome. They support our clients every step of the way with care, understanding, flexibility and support. Our Lawyers take care of the legal needs, so our clients can take care of their recovery.

In this role you will assist lawyers in managing files. You will ensure the efficient day to day operation of the files including preparation of matters for assessment and trial. You will be the first point of call for clients within the practice area. You will use your analytical skills, customer service and superior communication skills.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Under Supervision of the experienced practitioner, work with clients on matters relevant to their legal claim
- Assist in achieving positive resolution of client matters.
- Develop and manage positive relationship with clients
- Work collaboratively with legal support team

What will you bring?

- Experience in legal administration
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in n a team environment
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems
- Previous experience as a Law Clerk preferred but not essential
